The Tent of Meeting
Well, I have kept the last post up for long enough. It is time for another LIFE Nugget. I left the last post up for so long not because I did not want to post, more that I think that stuff is so important that it needs to be left out there to be seen. It is time however to post some more nuggets.
The past few months have been stressful. There have been challenges. In the midst of that stuff I have been thinking about Moses. Moses was a man who had a great deal of stress. He dealt a group of people that were constantly pulling on him to meet their needs, direct them spiritually, correct, and encourage them. Needless to say he was busy.
Moses however, had something that we all need. He had the tent of meeting. It was a place that Moses went to refresh himself and hear from God. Moses took time to get alone with God and spend time in his presence. It seems like we have devalued that in our culture. Like time in God's presence has been ruled out of busy life.
In the tent of meeting, God met Moses and they spoke as friends. When was the last time you spoke with God as friends? Why not try it?
